2216-end

- Economy: 113 (+510)

Rushes executed:

- Skunkworks in Morgan Shipbuilding for 26EC

- Hab Complex in Morgan Construction for 52EC

- Aerospace Complex in Morgan Industries for 82EC

- Genejack Factory in Morgan Energy Monopoly for 140EC

Differences:

- 2 genejack factories couldn't be rushed (the money given to Miriam).

- the F8 survived and killed the locust, becoming elite

2217-start

- Brother Lal has started the Pholus Mutagen

- Hive missile destroyed our trance patrol in Morgan Metallurgy

- a Hive chaos penetrator killed an F8 and a crawler

- We got ADVANCED SPACEFLIGHT and chose Homo Superior (for the Universal Translator giving 2 free techs)

- a new base will be founded in the North

Battle plans:

- mindprobing Factory Drift for 2xx EC (we may lose the probe but Morgan Shipbuilding can replace it in 2 turns)

- using our first Appache to kill: 3 battery rovers, and the garrison at Port Yang if odds are good

- using an F8 to kill the penetrator

We may have some casualties the first turns but as soon as we convert F8 to F13 and Nwabudike to Nwabudike-134, with the capability to produce 1 unit/turn*base, he'll get overwhelmed. NO worry!

Differences:

- brother Lal blackmailed us from 75EC. I didn't want to angry him now BUT HE'S GONNA PAY SOON ENOUGH! I asked for a pact for "name your price" but he refused.

- no genejack factory yet at Morgan Solarfex = no native boom. Better wait until our units are ready to kill again before rushing the facility.

- the Hive transport and sea colony pod have fled out of range of the Appache. Too bad!

Hive missile destroyed our trance patrol in Morgan Metallurgy.

An expensive way to make war. :)

We got ADVANCED SPACEFLIGHT and chose Homo Superior (for the Universal Translator giving 2 free techs)

OK, I missed that. Since we have Advanced Spaceflight there is no need for Organic Superlubricant.

Yes, but we've got Advanced Spaceflight because we extracted Organic Superlubricant from the Hive. Both for the price of one! :b:

- Morgan Aerodynamics founded

I think I shall stop to provide a complete report for every base, it takes me longer and longer. Perhaps just the current production will suffice.

Factory Drift has a drone and will riot next turn.

I checked Yang's intentions, and he would sign blood truce already.

We do not need to contact him yet. How many more bases we could conquer?

We plan to rush Recreation Commons in Factory Drift.

We can take 2 or 3 bases, depending on how many turns we allow us. We should have enough F8 then F13 to defend ourselves, and we can:

- mindprobe Sea Collective next turn

- conquer Port Yang in 2 turns

- conquer Sea Hive the turn after

- conquer Deep Clustering in 2 turns

Just tell me how many turns you give me! That said, once F13 is prototyped in 2 turns, our casualties will be minimal and we can take bases by drop infantries too. It's just up to us to decide when to stop: Yang won't probably submit soon, we'd better agree for a truce in 2-3 turns after having taken the sea bases.

So, what do we have for Christmas?

2217-end

- Economy: 32 (+524)

Rushes executed:

- F8 in Morgan Gravitonics for 30EC

- F8 in Morgan Industries for 24EC

- Rec Commons in Factory Drift for 144EC

- Hab Complex in Morgan Metallurgy for 80EC

2218-start

- 1 kelp expansion

- no enemy activity

- Yang went to chat: he asked that we attack Lal, we refused. He demanded that we give back Factory Drift, we refused. He asked us to pay 525EC to have peace, we refused. And so the vendetta continues...

- 6 tiles of land have been raised

- our clean mineral limit is now 48. I have adjusted citizens in cities with/building genejack factory so as not to provoke native booms. We'll build a few Centauri preserves there later. (Morgan Shipbuilding was at ecodamage 30! :scared:)

Battle plans:

- kill the Hive sea colony pod with an F8

- mindprobe Sea Collective if we have enough EC (should be ok)

- send the Nwabudike East towards the undefended Hive seabase near the Gaians (even if they build a defender, it's in the range of our A8; we'll take it next turn)

Morgan Transport could get a specialist instead of worker 1-0-1

Similarly M. Gravitonics 2 more instead of 0-1-1.

Empaths give 2 economy and psych, which not always is needed. We have 20% psych in energy distribution. Engineers are 3 eco and 2 labs, so I would propose them when they are not gonna cause drone riots.

Usually I put empaths in captured cities and engineers elsewhere.

Morgan Gravitonics needs every minerals as a frontline base, but I turned 0-1-1 to engineer as well.

Battle results:

- F8 destroys Hive sea colony pod

- cruiser probe mindprobed Sea Collective for 288EC, we took 22EC, and 2 garrisons, the probe came home safely :b:

You are doing a grat job.

Upgrading our units is fine. If allowed by the rules use the unit workshop to avoid losing a turn. I'd still say that building clean fighters is a waste of minerals, though.

In Morgan Gravitonics a partial rush for 7 Ec is sufficient. Not that it matters. ;)

Thank you!

I build a clean F13 in Morgan Shipbuilding because it would make no difference to make a normal F13. Otherwise, it won't be spending much minerals but money: we'll build F8s and A8s and such, and upgrade them with cash. I don't think we'll use the unit workshop for that: too much spending at once.

Ok: I'll use 7EC. 1EC is 1EC!

2218-end

- Economy: 229 (+549)

Rushes proposed:

- Fusion Supply in Morgan Gravitonics for 7EC

- Research Hospital in Morgan Mines for 24EC

- Genejack Factory in Morgan Bank for 42EC

2219-start

- a Peacekeeper missile destroyed a Hive transport in Fecundity Tower

- a Peacekeeper missile destroyed a Hive police guard in the same base

- a Peacekeeper missile destroyed a Hive fungi-seaformer in the same base

- a University chaos copter destroyed a Hive fungi-seaformer

- a University copter destroyed a police guard in Fecundity Tower

- no battle plans: we'll upgrade a maximum of units and Deep Clustering and Port Yang will be ours next turn (and maybe even the Leader's Horde)

There is possibility to end vendetta with Gaians and Deirdre is now submissive enough to be talked into Pact. We get like 39-40 additional commerce, possibility to use Gaian bases like our own.

After pact with Gaians, Lal would agree to end his vendetta with Deirdre.

Santiago would agree to sign truce with Zakharov.

It is all proposed - any comments on our diplomacy?

If any of the above is accepted, I would play it on 2219 end turn.

Well, now it seems I cannot replicate the talks with Deirdre... :(

I got to treaty only

Link to post

I would go with Treaty then.

Not sure whether any pact with Deirdre would last long since we are her direct ideological disgust.

Time to choose what social engineering to change to get a long-time ally: Power with Spartans (Cloning vats in 4-5 turns) or Knowledge with Zakharov (he'll probably accept pact in exchange for Air Power, won't he?)

Link to post

Personally I would vote Spartans, they can be more valuable military ally. Their economy is weak, but with our support it could change.

Ok! I'll try to get the Cloning Vats soon then.

Without save, I went forward. Water Garden is now empty, we can take it next turn (this turn it's Deep Clustering) and have more chance of submissive pact.

2220-start

- Information: Believers have 5-3-6*2 AAA-cruisers

- our sentinel in Factory Drift resisted a sealurk attack

- the Believers and the Hive have agreed to combine forces against us. No official talk, just a footnote on the interface. THE TRAITORS'S GONNA PAY!

- we have got Homo Superior and have chosen Monopole Magnets (leading to Unified Field Theory and the Theory of Everything)

- land tiles have been raised near Morgan Biochemical

Battle plans:

- we'll start to kill the defenders of the Hive base building the Planet Buster. It must stop!

- a Nwabudike shall take Deep Clustering

- a nwabudike shall take Port Yang after the Appache-13 has killed the defenders

- we'll try to kill the transport and the sea colony pod with the Comanche-13

This time Deirdre wants 250 EC for truce, but she would agree for 120 EC also.

In this case, maybe we would continue to take over Gaian bases... ?

Of course!

Giving money to Miriam for nothing was a good lesson.

We can crush the Gaians as we want.

We'll still have to upgrade a few units this turn to have maximum firepower but all their naval bases are belong to us, and then we'll talk again!

We can start a new thread 2221-2240.

On southern coast, 23,63 could be raised. This will lift only 3 tiles from the sea, but some new coastal/land base may be placed.

Maybe we consider taking Gaia's Landing?
