Zakharov has Fusion Power. Cruisers will be much cheaper with it. But getting it in a peaceful way is probably not the case.

 

Will we build MCC? Which base? With abundance of formers, we can get it fast.

Yes! Starting next turn in Morgan Interstellar. Should be achieved in...7-8 turns maximum I think.

During this time, Morgan Shipbuilding will be put in battle order to support an air force (tree farm for nutrient+psych, then punishment sphere, perhaps also centauri preserve and another crawler on mine)

The Cyborg Factory will take some time beyond this decade I'm afraid. It's not that important since we are focusing on infrastructure for a few turns more.

I had to stop because we need a diplomatic decision.

Provost Zakharov came to talk (seething) and asked that we enter a Pact with him against the Peacekeepers. We'll get 25EC and Fusion Power (and a lot of cash every turn of course).

I have the feeling that otherwise it would be a matter of turns before Zak declares us vendetta too.

What do you decide? Lal is already busy with his vendetta against Deirdre but we could suffer badly from air attacks against formers and crawlers.

With Fusion, we can get mighty interceptors fast and protect our assets but we can also refuse. The only current danger from Zak would be his foil damaging our terraforming: negligible.

Mart? Dolgorukov?

- Zak doesn't have Air Power yet. He has 3 foil transports and one attack foil.

- Lal has 2 transport foils and 1 attack foil, plus 2 air interceptors and 4 attack planes.

My vote is to agree for Zakharov proposition.

We enter vendetta, get Pact agreement, Fusion Power!!!

We can also only defend, the idea with fusion interceptors is the way to go, I think.

My vote is to reject Zakharov's proposal. Lal is our natural ally in this game and Zak would be making a mistake in opening up a second front against us while Lal is raining down needlejets. I'd rather defend against Zak who doesn't have air units, and steal tech from him.

I am didvided on the subject but shall side with Dolgorukov.

Without Air Power, the University is a paper tiger and it knows it. We also want Brother Lal to use maximum power against the Gaians, our natural foe.

What I suggest however would be to switch soon to Knowledge, that would defuse some of Zak's animosity, and we'll need the additional efficiency (3 future base positions are or will be ready).

We do have Fusion Power!!! and we exchanged that for Mind/Machine Interface with Lal.

 

I took liberty to create several new unit designs. Also a prototype of an infantry:

8-1-1*2 Chaos Squad has been placed in queue in Morgan Mines. This is the cheapest prototype cost, so we do one of these. It works for needlejets too.

 

Lal did not want to exchange techs any further.

Yes, Morgan Mines can build something else than Chaos squad. The F-8 will prototype the weapon.

 

Which Gaian base is for probing this time? Is it for a tech? Deirdre has 2 more techs that we do not.

Either our probe goes to Vrgin Soil this turn or to Fallow Time next turn.

In Virgin Soil, we can suck ECs without danger or try to break encrypt-protection to get tech (probe is elite, it can steal the tech but may get caught).

If we really want a tech, better send it to Fallow Time. However, I don't see more tech as urgent: we still haven't used those we have to their whole potential.

Is there any advantage to upgrade our crawlers? They won't move and even with fusion they won't be able to withstand a fission needlejet attack. I'd say we keep our money for something else.

By upgrading, I mean we use existing infantry chassis ones for SP. And in their place we build rover fusion chassis, they also cost 3 rows of minerals.
