Looking back on last decade objectives:

- the Neural Amplifier and the Planetary Energy Grid have been completed and are ours

- Except the 2 cities which built SPs, all others have now resident probe teams except Morgan Transport (1 or 2 turns left).

- milestone: we are now at 1 tech/9 turns

- milestone: we are now earning more than 150EC/turn

 

This decade objectives:

- completing the Cyborg Factory (not easy, very expensive)

- a few formers more to start Morgan Industries' energy park

- having all coastal cities with 1 plasma garrison

- starting more defence infrastructure: defence perimeters and aerospace complexes on some coastal cities

- reaching 1 tech/8 turns

I think we will be able to achieve more, like some more bases.

Deirdre did not want to talk in 2181. She also researches Planetary Economics, which has Ascetic Virtues. What do we do about it? Ready in 4 turns?

If we can choose Planetary economics as our next tech, we'll have the Ascetic Virtues instabuilt in 15 turns. I doubt Deirdre can build it in 11 turns; we'll have to monitor the situation closely.

To be sure to get Planetary Economics, I propose we connect our AA to a network node in 5 turns, just before we get MMA.

We have to wait for Planetary economics before having an estimation of how much will cost an economic victory.

 

For the energy park, I have drawn it on a screenshot in the thread "Morgan terraforming Summit": mainly it is situated on the mesa and around, on tiles out of other bases zone of control.

Yes!!!

However, we should be careful not to get them killed easily. I haven't checked, but Gaians do have navy, bombers (some Falcons too?)

How about our Falcon cover of foil probes?

We need more Falcons, interceptors for that purpose.

Explorer crashed while I posted. Here is a smaller version.

 

- Gaians and Peacekeepers are at war. That shoud keep Deirdre busy.

 

- Here is the Gaian security nexus. Navy: 1 foil and many transports. Air force: 2 falcons and 2 bombers (+1 in production)

 

- Peacekeepers have stopped building the Maritime Control Center

- University have 3 bases building the Hunter Seeker Algorithm.

 

- using Falcons to escort probes beyond our borders will provoke 2 drones in their homebase.

We were thinking once about a military base, that would support all airforce, it would have all specialists (doctors) and food and minerals would be crawled. This would solve drone problems and Free Market during war.

 

Something to consider for the future. At the moment, I'm thinking for technology steal actions - it may be worth to have one turn of lowered production in some bases. We have only one falcon at the moment anyway.

It shall probably be Morgan Shipbuilding then. It doesn't even have network node yet and have only marginal energy production though powerful in minerals. It doesn't have to be all specialists: Advanced Military Algorithms are just around the corner and we shall then be able to build a Punishment Sphere!

In the meantime, I transfer our Falcon there to support our probes.

Chairman Yang wanted us to attack Santiago. I refused. He then blackmailed us to exort Information Networks, I gave in. Finally, I succeeded in defusing some of his hate by having him stop vendetta then sign Treaty with the Spartans.

Is it better to have all 3 as empaths or letting one turn of drone riots?

 

Also: one of our probe foils will download a gaian tech next turn and the other will move on to the other city. (Otherwise, it'll meet a hardened network).

In that case, we could crawl nutrients to prevent hunger, then we keep population 4.

 

Another important thing:

Lal will exchange Adv. Military Algorythms for our Neural Grafting. If we do that before probing Gaian bases for techs, Deirdre would have only 2 other techs more than us:

- Superstring Theory

- Doc. Initiative.

 

This way we get possibly 3 techs this turn.

Gaians get Planetary Economics next turn, but this would be probed later. To minimize cost, I would build land probe teams and a transport to carry them.

 

Having Maritime Control Center and +2 move points on sea is possible for us to have.

This way we get possibly 3 techs this turn.

That somewhat frightens me. The importance of research is big for the powergraph. If we find ourselves in 2nd or 3rd position, our situation could draw the attention of nasty people.

 

Gaians get Planetary Economics next turn, but this would be probed later. To minimize cost, I would build land probe teams and a transport to carry them.

While we still have 2 foil probes, no current need it seems.

I must also admit that I prefer sea probes. Though more expensive, they allow much better flexibility, especially with Hive and University sea bases sprawling. With the MCC and sea probes, we'll be able to suck ECs from Gaians like piglets suck milk from a sow. :D
