SMAC/X is not a Firaxis or 2K title, so that's probably why they couldn't include it in this deal.

They're also missing all versions of Civ prior to Civ3.

SMAC is too old for digital distribution. The only chance of that game ever being made available for DD would be through Good Old Games, but EA is not a partner of them. I imagine the income you can get from GOG is relatively small, so it's just not worth it for the major publishers like EA, Activision, etc. Ubisoft is the only big publisher on GOG, and even then the games they sell are all pretty recent, very mainstream and all fall in the highest pricing tier.

I downloaded Civ III (it took all day, literally), and I have one small issue: the game won't start. I guess I should contact support, but I figured I'd ask here, first. Any ideas? All it says is that Civ III unexpectedly quit. My theory is some sort of compatability problem with windows vista. After all, it says it's compatable with windows 95/me/2000/xp, but does not mention vista. Could that be the problem?
