I also want to work on a prequel. Writing that story was a heckuva lot of fun and kept me entertained for two wonderful years.

Copy/Paste might be best- but if there is a download section in the future it would be nice if stories could be linked to threads- so that the story could be in one cohesive place and tehn the thread could be elsewhere.

However, by copy/pasting it into posts, people can read short excerpts in an episodic fashion, which may attract more readers!

Yes. The actual story is in the Maniac tall tales fact thread, which goes something like this.

Hey, if we were to trace our trees far back enough, we're all descended from the same guy, right? And I ain't talking about any theoretical First Man here; go back enough generations, and the potential population growth from one man outstrips the entire population of the planet. For example, I have no proof of this, but I'm pretty sure I'm descended from Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Confucius, Moses... you name it, it goes back far enough, it's significantly more probable than not he's located somewhere in my tree... and yours, as well.

So, Saxon royalty? I'd claim that too, despite my complete lack of proof for anything that leaves the American continent. At the very least, there's got to be a scullery maid or something up in the high branches.

The original quote is weird of course, which is why it's fun. It's hard to translate to another language while keeping the funny aspect, doing so with a computer is even less possible.
