Is it worth buying?

Yes, at a knock down price.

Depending on your skill level, or likelihood to play online, it may not last that long. The game is easy, and once you beat deity fairly consistently, and you don't play online, there's not much left to do. The scenarios I didn't play.

And the DS version is not so flash TBH.

I got it on a multi game cartidge thingee in Thailand.

Glad I did not pay full price for it.

Well I enjoyed playing it, and it served as a warm up for when I got the game on xbox as they are very similar. However the single player was not difficult for a civ veteren

I didnt get the chance to play it multiplayer as my phat DS did not understand modern wi-fi protocols. Multiplayer on the xbox was well worth the money however
