Awesome. I mostly used custom factions to keep SMAX fresh, but would be interested in playing around with mods at some point. Let me know your github username when you've registered and I'll give you access to the repository, then you can clone and sync easily. I'll also be hanging out on #smac quite a bit if you'd like to chat. Just say my name on the channel and it'll notify me.

From my perspective mods are what kept SMACX fresh for me. If I've got the time next weekend I'll see about getting up to speed with ACU (Alpha Centauri Ultimate), as well as getting the mod'd alpha(x).txt files started.

Posted by ete 3. I will respect any content creators wishes if they request something be not included or removed (but not general sitewide claims on individual authors work by site owners, which I consider absurd). So far I have not come across anything of this kind, and make the assumption that content created for free and and publicly released is intended for general use.

I agree comments like "I forbid my work to be posted at site X" are absurd. And it sounds like we are of the same mind in that if you post something on the web, then its with the understanding that its to be used wherever by anyone. :b:

Maps I've not credited properly yet, am considering whether to have a readme for each or just document them on the wiki and credit there.
